I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Adyen
Interview
A recruiter reached out to me about four times over two months. I finally responded, got on a call with her, and it was fine — a standard interview process. The second round with the hiring manager went well too. The third round was with a hiring manager from a different team, and I wasn't told ahead of time that it would be hypothetical, multilayered questions about their customers.
I can talk at length about my own customers and have plenty of great stories to share. But when I'm asked about their customers with no data on what the customer's pain is or who the customer even is, it's just talking out loud without a sales strategy. No good sales person would go into a sales call without some information ahead of time. Can't say I was impressed by this and declined moving forward with them.

Standard interview questions. Why adyen? Why now? Ect
Hiring manager seems inexperienced, not a well structured interview. Felt uncomfortable and manager was on a power trip. Did not get a good feeling - would not like to work with this person and therefore decided not to follow through.
First, they rejected me by email, then they sent me an interview invitation. It was weird. After the interview, I couldn’t move forward, but at least HR gave me some useful feedback.
