      Full Stack Developer Interview

      Aug 8, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Kuala Lumpur
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Aleph Labs (Kuala Lumpur) in Aug 2025

      Interview

Interview Process: I was contacted on Thursday, 7th August 2025, about an interview scheduled for the next day. I explained to HR that I needed at least three days’ notice to apply for leave from my current company. HR assured me it would only be a quick 3-minute chat, and we agreed to move it to Monday, 11th August. The next day (Friday), I unexpectedly received another call and message asking me to attend the interview that same afternoon at 4:00 PM. Trusting the “3-minute” description again, I rearranged my time to attend. Instead, I was met with a full technical interview by a hiring team member — no prior notice, no time to prepare, and a format completely different from what was communicated. What made it worse was the tone of the session. At one point, the interviewer remarked, “Even the basic doesn’t know,” which felt condescending and unprofessional. No acknowledgment was given for the last-minute change or lack of transparency; instead, the responsibility was shifted onto me for not being prepared. Pros: None experienced, as I only reached the interview stage. Cons: - Last-minute schedule changes. - Misleading description of interview format. ( Actually she tricked me to join google meet by telling me 3 minutes only. Seems like just want to fill in vacant spot on their side at that moment instantly. After I joined and interviewer joined, this hr left from the google meet. Understood it's not her part. So yeah I directly told interviewer how I be tricked and he said will pass my concern to HR) - Disrespectful and unprofessional communication from the interviewer. - No accountability for HR miscommunication. Advice to Management: Be upfront about the interview process and respect candidates’ time. Ensure HR communication is accurate and aligned with what actually happens. Maintain professionalism in all candidate interactions, regardless of their level of preparation.
