I applied online. I interviewed at Aleph Labs (Singapore) in Dec 2025
Interview
Pros:
- Interview questions were relevant and the team seemed knowledgeable about their work
- Opportunity to meet with actual client during process
Cons:
- Extremely poor communication during hiring process
- Was told "you are selected, waiting for client confirmation" after 5 rounds of interviews (including talent)
- Waited 2+ weeks with minimal updates despite multiple follow-ups
- Recruiter provided conflicting information and deleted messages
- Position was eventually closed
This wasted weeks I could have spent pursuing other opportunities. If leadership can't decide after a max of 3 rounds whether someone is suitable then (a) they have no idea what they want, (b) they have no idea what the business or team needs, (c) they don't know how to interview candidates. Ghosting candidates after 5 interview rounds - esp for a short contract role, reflects poorly on company culture! If you're not ready to make an offer, don't tell candidates they're selected. Hope this feedback is taken in good stride for future hiring!
