I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Allegiant Air (Long Beach, CA) in Aug 2016
Interview
The interview process as a whole was quite fast in comparison to competitive airlines. I had applied online after a friend of mine informed me they were hiring. About a week later (August 2nd) I was contacted to do a video submission interview which consisted of about 5 questions all character based, "What would you do?" scenario questions. I completed within 24hrs. It was a fairly simple process and allowed for practice recordings before submitting your final interview.
By August 8th, I was contacted for an in person interview which I attended August 20th in Long Beach, CA. The entire crew/team made the process very comfortable and simple. Lots of smiles and fun. They were very organized and welcoming. The process lasted about 4 hours consisting of team question answering where they partnered you up with another person and asked a scenario question and between you and your teammate you both had to come up with a response you both agreed on. After that you had to recite the announcement they gave you days prior to memorize. After they made cuts and either let people go or kept you for the group interview. Once again following the group interview they made cuts. Then came the in person one on one interview. Then you were excused to leave and they would email you asking for references.
By the next evening, I was contacted that I had moved on and they 5 needed references within 24hrs.
It almost felt like the longest week until I finally received a call offering me the Flight Attendant Training beginning October 10th at the main base in Vegas.
I will be in Punta Gorda, FL following the completion of my training that begins in a couple of weeks, can't wait!
Good luck and have fun with your interview, it should be an enjoyable experience!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Name a time when you made a mistake. What was the mistake? What was the outcome?
My interview experience with Allegiant was notably casual and laid-back. Unlike traditional, conservative airlines, Allegiant maintains a relaxed and adaptable environment. I observed that several candidates had previously been unsuccessful in their applications to major airlines. Regrettably, some attendees were unprepared, poorly dressed, and displayed inadequate grooming; some also used coarse language. This was disheartening, and I was eager to depart. If you are looking for a conventional, sophisticated flight attendant role, Allegiant may not be the ideal choice.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Allegiant Air (Allentown, PA) in Oct 2024
Interview
Interview consisted of a group information session about the job, pay, ect. After that we were spilt into smaller groups and we answered a question, recited the announcement they gave up to memorize prior to the interview, and then we completed a group activity. After that those who got to the 1-on-1 interview stage sat in the jumpseat to make sure we could buckle in, and then interviewed with one of the recruiters.
