Interview
This is long but I wanted to be thorough because I think it helps relax nerves to have a visual of what you’ll encounter. I interviewed 8/7/19:
You are invited via email and given an announcement to memorize prior to interview. You’re asked to bring your resume as well and arrive 15 min early. Checkin and receive a name tag sticker to wear with a number on it The room is set up with rows of chairs facing a projector screen which is already showing a welcome video. Most every prospective employee wore black or navy and looked the part already. Some females had hair down but most up. I was very impressed with the appearance and professionalism of the group. It was very loud conversation while we waited for the crew to come in and start. Sherry led the interview and her team: 4-5 flight attendants with HR roles assisted. They all introduced themselves and gave brief background on themselves. Q/A then presentation video began. Another lengthy Q/A after the video that had to be cut short because so many people asked questions. I believe we had about 50 in our group. 10 minute intermission while the chairs were rearranged into two U shapes. Return to the room and sit in an assigned seat by the number on your name tag. There’s one blue (core value card) and one orange (group question) under your seat. No introductions they get right into explaining how the process will go. 4 FA’s sit in chairs facing the U and take notes. Starting at one end of the U read your core value then tell how that value relates to your life (work or personal). Each person in the U reads a different core value but some are the same. My core value was Innovation as was another person’s in the U. Then you’re instructed to work with the person next to you for about a minute to read and figure out a solution to a problem. When ready you stand with your partner and say how you would approach the situation (you and your partner should both have speaking parts). Then one at a time stand and recite the announcement you were asked to memorize. This was a very important component of the interview but some had small errors and were still given the one on one. One girl said it perfectly but I never once saw her smile and she didn’t make it to the one on one. I think they focus on delivery more than minor word errors. I don’t recommend changing major words or not memorizing fully as that probably wouldn’t work well. Break for 30 minutes while two more groups do the U shape group interview and evaluation takes place. Everyone is called into the hallway of the banquet room and their number is announced to go into a separate room. We all stood together in a circle. One FA comes in and says you’ve all made it to one on ones and asked us to remain in this room while the announcement was made in the hall area to those who didn’t get one on ones. Another waiting period while each member is taken into the room for one on ones. Once I entered the room there was 2 chairs across the room facing each other and 2 chairs opposite end of the room facing each other where I was instructed to sit. I almost joked “this really is an interrogaton” because that’s how it felt lol but I refrained (glad I did). I sat and was asked for my resume which she looked at and proceeded to ask 4-5 questions. They don’t specifically tell you to answer in STAR format but it’s understood that you should. The questions that I was asked were not the ones I prepared for via Glassdoor but they were similar enough that I was able to give decent answers - except the last question which I had never encountered which I will list below - caught me off guard and took me about 60 seconds to think of a suitable scenario that I could remember. The interviewer was all business and probably very tired - didn’t smile much but was friendly. She asked if I had any questions which I did and she took the time to really answer my question as if I was a future employee which I was impressed with. She thanked me and advised they would be in touch within 1-2 weeks. I left the room and said goodbye to the other applicants who it seemed I had already bonded with (weird but in that short 4 hour process you chat and actually get to know other applicants to the point you’re actually rooting for them too). Hope to see them in training - they were all excellent candidates for the job.

Question 1
Tell me about a time where you didn’t communicate something effectively and you had to recommunicate it. How did you go about doing so? (not exact wording)
My interview experience with Allegiant was notably casual and laid-back. Unlike traditional, conservative airlines, Allegiant maintains a relaxed and adaptable environment. I observed that several candidates had previously been unsuccessful in their applications to major airlines. Regrettably, some attendees were unprepared, poorly dressed, and displayed inadequate grooming; some also used coarse language. This was disheartening, and I was eager to depart. If you are looking for a conventional, sophisticated flight attendant role, Allegiant may not be the ideal choice.

Interview
Interview consisted of a group information session about the job, pay, ect. After that we were spilt into smaller groups and we answered a question, recited the announcement they gave up to memorize prior to the interview, and then we completed a group activity. After that those who got to the 1-on-1 interview stage sat in the jumpseat to make sure we could buckle in, and then interviewed with one of the recruiters.
