I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Allegiant Air (Clearwater, FL) in Aug 2015
Interview
Group interview of about 40-50 people. The team of recruiters were very nice. A presentation was given about the company. benefits, pay, and training. The option was given to ask questions. We were then broken into 3 smaller groups. Each applicant was asked to stand up and state their name, base preference, and then recite the announcement that was given to us prior to the interview. The next step was you and the person you were seated next to were given a situation with about a minute to discuss as a team how you would handle it. Had to stand up and explain to the group how we would handle one of our crew members was consistently late for work which was causing flight delays, The last step in the group was each applicant was given a card with one of the companies values on it. Had to stand up and speak about what that meant to you. When this step was completed everyone was asked to exit the room for a few minutes. The recruiters came out into the hall where we were waiting and called off a list of names to come back in the room and for the rest of us to wait outside. Those that were called in unfortunately did not make it to the next round. We were now told that we were going to be doing a one on one interview but before needed to fill out a criminal background form that needed to be handed in during out one on one. We were also given a drug screen form and fingerprint form and were told that further instructions will be provided if we are selected.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
My one on one was very casual and the recruiter was very nice which made it feel more relaxed. It turns out that my recruiter is actually a base supervisor in SFB and this is the base of my choice. I was asked about a time that i witnessed an unsafe situation at work and how I handled it and I was also asked about a time in which i was inconvinienced at work and to explain how I handled it. The recruiter asked me if I had any questions and Thanked me for coming.
My interview experience with Allegiant was notably casual and laid-back. Unlike traditional, conservative airlines, Allegiant maintains a relaxed and adaptable environment. I observed that several candidates had previously been unsuccessful in their applications to major airlines. Regrettably, some attendees were unprepared, poorly dressed, and displayed inadequate grooming; some also used coarse language. This was disheartening, and I was eager to depart. If you are looking for a conventional, sophisticated flight attendant role, Allegiant may not be the ideal choice.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Allegiant Air (Allentown, PA) in Oct 2024
Interview
Interview consisted of a group information session about the job, pay, ect. After that we were spilt into smaller groups and we answered a question, recited the announcement they gave up to memorize prior to the interview, and then we completed a group activity. After that those who got to the 1-on-1 interview stage sat in the jumpseat to make sure we could buckle in, and then interviewed with one of the recruiters.
