I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Allegiant Air (Oakland, CA) in Feb 2016
Interview
Interview process was very simple and well organized. I was very nervous because I've never been interviewed for flight attendant position before. Alexander was super great at taking all that stress away. He was funny and had well knowledge about the company. Other two recruiters were former/recent flight attendants, so we had a chance to ask them questions about work place. One more recruiter was manager for particular base.
Process:
1) Introduction: Everyone checked in and were given name tags followed by taking seats. We had time to chat with other candidates and get to know each other. Wonderful edition to calm atmosphere was music playing in the background
Introduction took about an hour. Alexander walked us through some important points such as some history and what it takes to be flight attendant with Allegiant Vacations. Then we were introduced to other three recruiter team members and had a chance to ask questions.
After introduction part we were asked to wait outside for about 10 minutes till the crew rearranged room for a group part interview.
2) Group Interview: When we came back to the room there were chairs in the bow angle in front of recruiters. We took seats according to our number next to our name on name tags. On the floor there were cards with numbers (1 and 2) next to each chair. With number one card we had to work in teams of two to solve an issue. For example my team card was: "One of the team member that works with you is constantly late. What would you do? How would you solve the issue?" Second card indicated one of the core value (P.S. core values can be found on allegiant website STUDY THEM). We had to read full core value to everybody (so practice reading something OUT LOUD) and then explain how this core value applies to you. For example; my core value was teamwork, so I gave examples how I have implemented teamwork in my past.
After group part interview was completed we were asked to wait outside for few minutes so the crew can rearrange the room again for one-on-one interview.
3) One-on-One interview: I was given 5 questions and then I had an opportunity to ask recruiter questions that I had.
Now I am waiting to see how I did :)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
All questions that I was given included the beginning of: Tell me the time when something happened or tell me the time when you had to do something.
Example 1: Tell me the time when you had to use your safety skills.
Example 2: Tell me the time when you had to deal with policy change.
Example 3: Tell me the time when you had to apply policy at your work.
My interview experience with Allegiant was notably casual and laid-back. Unlike traditional, conservative airlines, Allegiant maintains a relaxed and adaptable environment. I observed that several candidates had previously been unsuccessful in their applications to major airlines. Regrettably, some attendees were unprepared, poorly dressed, and displayed inadequate grooming; some also used coarse language. This was disheartening, and I was eager to depart. If you are looking for a conventional, sophisticated flight attendant role, Allegiant may not be the ideal choice.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Allegiant Air (Allentown, PA) in Oct 2024
Interview
Interview consisted of a group information session about the job, pay, ect. After that we were spilt into smaller groups and we answered a question, recited the announcement they gave up to memorize prior to the interview, and then we completed a group activity. After that those who got to the 1-on-1 interview stage sat in the jumpseat to make sure we could buckle in, and then interviewed with one of the recruiters.
