I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Alvarez & Marsal in Sep 2023
Interview
Interviewed for Associate, Performance Improvement for the Singapore Office. Had 5 rounds in total: 1 online, 1 with a manager, 1 with a senior director and 2 more with MDs. All rounds had both case and fit.
Hit it off with all the interviewers and thought that each round went successfully but apparently I was wrong because its been over a month and no word back from the recruiters.
Is it too much to ask of a hiring manager or a recruiter to spend a few minutes to send a status update email? Candidates understand that HR would be busy during peak application season but most of these processes can be automated.
Ghosting a candidate after putting them through 5 rounds of interviews is disrespectful to the amount of time and effort the candidate put into preparing for each interview, and is a refection of the firm's unprofessionalism.
I had a phone screen, then four interviews with team members, then a take home case study, then two more interviews with team members (MDs). After all that, I got an offer.
