I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Amazon in Dec 2019
Interview
Very straightforward, I was referred by an employee and got an email asking for my availability for a phone interview. I was assigned a recruitment contact and asked to get familiar with their leadership principles and the STAR technique. I was interviewed by someone doing a similar role to establish if I was a cultural fit.

Question 1
Describe a difficult situation you encountered with a customer/partner and how you dealt with it
Brutal. No getting to know the candidate. Jumped straight into the 14 principle questions and left me with a feeling of 'why would i want to work for this company'. Just felt soul-less.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon in Nov 2022
Interview
Recruiter screen followed by an at home assignment. 5 person final round over the course of two days. I found the process to be very clear. Responses from the recruiter were quick, and they set expectations well before every part of the interview process.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Amazon in May 2022
Interview
I was contacted by Linkedin from an internal Amazon recruiter for a Partner Development position in AWS. Before proceed with the actual interview, they asked to complete an assessment. All the questions were related to Amazon retail (logistic, delivery management and optimization, etc.), and there were any question related to a sales figure/IT/account-partner management for AWS. Considering my international experience of over 20 years within enterprise environment with the top leading Vendors, I was pretty sure about my answers. Unfortunately, the day after I received an email telling I failed the assessment without any additional feedback, despite my request to get more clarifications. Considering the first statement of Amazon is customer obsession, the fact of never gave a feedback it seems very unprofessional and not aligned to company principles. A well established company as Amazon deserve definitely a better recruitment system.
