I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Irvine, CA) in Dec 2015
Interview
Applied directly online and someone from the recruiting team called did the initial screening. After 2 weeks was phone screened by Hiring manager,And after that recruiter from hiring manager team did a phone screen with me.Interview was vague.Recruiter sounded very confused,She was trying to put me down saying for every scenario that its not agency it needs lot skills to hire for amazon positions..
I get that! but she should understand that she also come from a same back ground and recruiting strategies are same whether you work at agency level or corporate at the end of the day how successful are you in servicing the clients for their requirements. She asked me questions which sounded more like her challenges and expecting a solution for her challenges which she has no idea how to overcome them.she is been very low on energy level and has no interest even to listen to you.She wont let you finish the talk.
I heard many bad reviews about amazon hiring process. But i personally felt that why people dont like to work for amazon now.
Please change your approach to the talent? They are good talent than the person who sits on the interview side.Learn to be patient and have a listening ear.
Its worst experience ever and i would not suggest to anybody. There are definitely better and good companies around.

4 rounds of interviews that can be split into two days or one consisting of Amazon LP’s and behavioral questions. Star format is huge and don’t repeat example or answers

Question 1
Tell me about a tell you created a niche sourcing strategy to fill a role
Straight to the point. Interviewer has been with Amazon for quite sometime. It baffles me how some Recruiters get jobs at these companies. As a recruiter I could tell right off the bat the interview would end poorly based off the Recruiters tone when he joined.
