      Flight Attendant Interview

      Oct 19, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Fort Worth, TX
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at American Airlines (Fort Worth, TX) in Oct 2017

      Interview

I applied for the FA position on Aug 1. By sept 11 i received the video interview. on Oct 5. i received the F2F. Glassdoor is right on with the questions and determination of whether you received the job or not. During the online video, i dressed up as if i were already at a f2f. Smile, and be positive with your answers. Talk about customer service. That is what they want to hear. At the F2F they flew me in on the same day from NY. all expenses taken care of. At the F2F you sit in a room with about 40-50 ppl. As you come in, they seat you and walk around while watching your interactions. After introductions, you play a game called whos who? Purpose of the game is to show your team building skills and primarily not to judge a book by its cover. Take advantage of this opportunity and be the spokes person. After the game, you go for a quick snack break. When thats over, the group interviews start. Its a series of 3 questions, first two questions are the same for everyone in the room. and last question is a random question that you pick from a pile of cards. look at all the other questions on glassdoor provided by all other interviews as they are right on. After the group interviews are done, youre brought back to the original room for a presentation on more details on the position (day to day, hours, salary, vacation pto, ect.) While the presentation is happening, recruiters are coming in one by one to "interview you" If your information is verified and then your taken to the shuttle, then chances are you were not selected If youre taken into a room for more interview questions, a reach test, and jump seat test, then your 80% in. Practice your questions and answers. I suggest talking about customer service, safety protocols. I kept in touch with some of the people that interviewed, some people had FA experience and some didnt. As long as you have somewhat of an extensive customer service background, youre good. Keep your answers short but informative. no one wants to listen to someone ramble. Unfortunately i received a tbnt email. it was a positive experience for me. learned alot from this interview. i will try again next year.
