This was a long process but well worth it ! I applied in early September. They emailed me the next day to complete a personality test. About two days later I got the invitation for the video interview. I was super excited I watched a lot of YouTube videos on appearance and using the STAR (Situation, task, action, results) method to answer interview questions. After months and months of waiting I got the face to face interview in middle of December. It was scheduled three weeks out so I had some time to further prepare. My f2f was at 10:00am at the Dallas training center. They flew me out the night before. The overall interview process was very welcoming. As soon as you walk in the interview starts, even when you think no one is watching.. still smile. The entire day I smiled at everything and everyone. Pretty sure I got minor tears in my cheek muscles I smiled sooo much LOL. But really smile until it hurts and then smile some more. As soon as I walked in I introduced myself to everyone. Start making convo about anything just be friendly. After everyone’s arrival (about 30-35 people) we got a tour of the training center & then led into a room where we held group activities. This is the time to show the interviewers you can work well in a team and have fun. Let your personality shine!! Also important, do NOT try to be the center of attention and talk the whole time. Let others speak, but take a leadership role if given the opportunity. Then we did group interviews in another room, 4 people and 2 interviewers, 3 questions each I all found on Glassdoor, very relaxed it’s okay to be nervous just talk with clarity and confidence. Afterward we were shown a PowerPoint presentation about working with AA, at the same time the interviewers are deliberating. At this point start saying your good lucks or goodbyes. I was the second person called back and someone “had some more questions for me” THIS is a good sign you are almost completely in the door. Most people can be told to either wait for an email or try applying again in 6 months. This is the real face to face held in another private room. He was very nice but stern I tried to make conversation in between the interview questions. No awkward silence moments. About 10–15 minutes he gave me my CJO ! I did the reach and seat test super easy, fingerprints, and drug testing all there. Only me and another girl got an offer that morning. A lady told us they only pick 5 a day which was mind blowing. I left around 12:30/1. My flight leaving was at 6. Not sure who called in but they upgraded my seat to first class!! Which I’ve never sat in before so that was really nice. Now I’m just waiting on an email to tell me when my training starts! Overall great experience and I’m super excited to start this journey ! This was really long but I hope it helps someone !
