This is for the "F2F" interview in Fort Worth. I almost cancelled, because I'd received a job offer for an entirely different industry a two days before. But I wanted to see what AA had to offer, before I accepted the offer. You meet in the lobby of the Training and Conference Center and a recruiter comes out to bring you back to a room with six tables, each seating 5. There's a bit of paper work on the table. There you do a group activity, make sure you're following every direction. After the group activity, a recruiter calls names and brings you into a room for the group interview. I have read you get 4- 5 other candidates and 5 questions. Our group had 13 people and three questions. The questions are similar to the VI questions. Then you are returned to the holding room for a power point presentation about the nuts and bolts about the FA career. Then the recruiters start calling names--you are either given a one on one or walked out. I was walked out and I was cool with it. I did not feel AA and I would fit well together. I prefer authenticity in an employer and coworkers. Just some tips: Dress for the profession, not the club. I saw someone walked out for wearing cartilage piercing--they ask you TWICE in the VI about piercings--no excuses! I saw women wearing stilettos. I don't know what you ladies call them, but a lot of ladies had "low heels (?)" on. Brush your hair. When they ask "Tell me about yourself," keep it brief. It does not mean a recital of every position you ever held. One person in my group went on and on and on without a cohesive, over-arching theme. It's meant to be the highlight reel of your career and how you and your skill set are a fit for the company. When all else fails, talk about AA in your group interview like you're a WWII vet talking about the flag, extra points for getting choked up. All past errors are forgiven and you'll get your CJO. :)
