I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at American Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Feb 2019
Interview
American left a horrible taste in my mouth. I was invited to a F2F interview in Dallas. It was about 40 of us at the interview. First someone talked to us about American, pay, bases, reserve life etc. Afterwards we were called out for a group interview. They called about 7 of us at a time. After the group interviews they come back in and they tell you that all of you have a one on one. That is not true. So they start calling you out 1 by 1 for what they just told you was a 1 on 1 but they are actually walking you out.
American, you should be ashamed about the way you do your face to face interviews. It's unprofessional as well as wrong to straight out lie to someone that is trying to become a part of your company. People were outside crying because they thought they had a 1 on 1 and were walked to the door. It's OK that you have to turn down people, its apart of your job BUT it is not OK to lie.
Don't apply for American, Try to get in with Delta. Delta is the best
