After submitting my application I was given an assessment and then a video interview. After passing both I was invited to a F2F. It began by doing a group activity followed by a discussion and some group questions. The recruiters made everyone feel very comfortable and open. However, I noticed that many people started to behave a bit unprofessionally when they were starting to relax. Some people seemed to forget that it was still an interview and you are constantly being watched. I heard some inappropriate jokes in the hallway, saw some tattoos peek out under sleeves, people on their phones, and other things like that which should be avoided. They want you to be the best version of yourself so try not to let the nerves get to you and make sure you participate in the group activity without overpowering everyone. It can be hard to find a good balance, because almost everyone wants to appear like the best candidate and wants to be heard within that short amount of time. I’d suggest appearing calm and confident and when you do get a chance to speak, make it something memorable and unique! I also noticed a lot of questions during the Q&A about commuting and other topics that should be avoided. By accepting this job you are accepting to move to a new city so asking about ways to not do that gives a bad impression. After the group activities some candidates are escorted out to leave while others are sent to a 2 on 1 interview. They also do the reach test/jumpseat test. If you do not make it to the 2 on 1 you most likely will not receive a CJO. The process continually changes so that may not have been the case previously, but as now they are choosing to not move you forward. If you do receive the last interview, there is a chance but still not guaranteed. CJO or TBNT is emailed from 5-10 business days after the interview. This is an amazing company that so many people are interested in, so don’t get discouraged if this time around it doesn’t work out. I also noticed many people following the suggestions from here and FB (wear a watch, say the recruiters names, go first for one question but let someone else go first for another etc). Those things won’t make you stick out as much since so many people were doing those exact things. They are good tips, but some of those people also seemed like they were trying too hard to do what they read online so I’d suggest practicing unique and memorable answers to stick out. Be yourself and worry more about smiling and being friendly instead of doing those specific things, because some people got so caught up in following those tips they ended up seeming like they weren’t very genuine. One girl was practically screaming the name of every recruiter she shook hands with or talked with as they left and it seemed like a bit much. Many people claimed they didn’t get the job because they were too stressed or nervous at the interview. However, it can be a stressful job that requires someone adaptable and level headed so if you can’t handle an interview, it may not be the right job for you. Good luck! Trust in the recruiters and the process, because they know what they want and who will fit in well with the company!
