I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at American Airlines (Fort Worth, TX) in Jun 2021
Interview
I filled out the application online and got an email saying I would go on to next level.
I needed to learn the air port codes for the next level. They later emailed saying we don't.
I picked my date and time, I think there were 2 dates.
I showed up at my time, got my name tag and a group number and went and sat in a large room with about 50 to 75 others waiting.
Someone came up and talked, showed us a video filmed with other workers about the role.
Each group got point to an interviewer and we broke off into smaller groups of 5 applicants.
All 5 would be answering same questions. Order didn't matter.
At the end, the interviewer left and said they would be back with their decision.
All 5 got offers.
We then went into a bigger room where there was like 150 people.
We filled out paperwork which included background check. Did a urine drug test and left.
I asked a couple other people if everyone in their group made it through. They had.

I applied online. The process took 12 months. I interviewed at American Airlines (Ciudad de Mexico) in Sep 2022
Interview
Long and a waste of time. It's a 6 hour interview, there is nothing fun about it. The ppt they use are like from the 90's and first it's the presentation of the company, after that you would be ask if you want to continue. Then a video interview, then a psychometric test, HTP which is very common and not useful. Last you get to have an oral interview and then a background check that could go very good or bad, either way the process for the position for a very low salary is not worth it.
