      Flight Attendant Interview

      Jan 28, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Dallas, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at American Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Jan 2016

      Interview

Applied in December of 2015, few days later completed my online assessment. In January of 2016 I received an email from AA to complete a video interview. "When doing the video interview pretend you're talking to someone and loosen up a little and always smile." On the video interview they asked about five customer service related questions and at the last question that they asked, just thank them for taking the time out to review your application and you look forward hearing from them. Just as you would've done at a regular face to face interview. Few days after completing the video interview, I was invited to a face to face interview in Dallas in January as well. Upon arrival, I smile the entire way greeting everyone insight with a Good Morning smile even the janitors and security guards. It was about 15 of us interviewing and we sat at a table of 5 each and completed a little ice breaker game. We had to draw a circle and come up with 3 things that we all had in common and then one unique thing about yourself in which the other team had to guess to see if they could match what unique belongs to which candidate. We then got called into groups of five again to complete a group interview where we were asked 3 questions and we each had to answer them. We took a break then return to the room where they play a video and go over benefits and pay scale. They begun calling each candidate one by one, most of them I didn't see again so I'm assuming they got sent home. They called my name and I sat with one recruiter to conduct the one on one interview. I then did the jump seat test, reach test and completed my finger prints after. Then after I was offer the invite to attend one of the upcoming classes. PS. I smile the entire time and now my mouth hurts. They want to see you always smiling no matter what and just be yourself and have fun and you will get it as well.
