American Arbitration Association Case Filing Specialist interview questions

Submitted resume online (with no option to submit a cover letter) and was forced to then complete a combersome, outdated, glitchy application form (more or less copying contents of resume into form). Because the form was poorly designed and glitchy, it was really annoying. Then, within minutes, I received an email to take an online assessment in order to be considered for position. Online assessment took about 40 minutes. It assessed visual accuracy (select the two 3D block stacks that are the same shape), spot the inconsistency in the pattern, difficult vocabulary quiz (with really old fashioned, uncommon words), and a very bizzare word association section which seemed especially subjective and meaningless to me. I cannot fathom, honestly, how any of this really relates to the nature and subject matter of the position. Also, the test had a few unsavory and/or stereotypically racist sorts of phrases and questions. I wonder if others picked up on that. I think the whole assessment definitely needs an overhaul. I did a week later receive an invitation for a 30 min phone interview. The two representatives I spoke with were very nice. One seemed less confident, unnatural and was very clearly reading off a script. Perhpas he is in training. Not a big deal. Overall, it felt overly formal. I then had a 45 minute in-person interview with 1 local and 2 virtual reps (from the phone interview). They were all very nice. Standard interview questions. Was informed they've been trying to fill several positions and interviewing for over a month. I thought the interview went well. I truly believe myself capable of doing the job, having very similar former work experiences. Yet, I did not receive an offer. I received a standard, impersonal form email the next day stating they have decided to go with another candidate instead. Later that same day, I saw they reposted a new post for the position on a job website. So, their rejection email was very clearly dishonest. Throughout the process, I received a combination of corporate/automatic/sterile and local/personal (but overly formal) email communications. I got the impression it's a bit of a bureaucratic, self-important, unnecessarily picky sort of place. But the actual people I met seemed really nice. The whole process took over 3 weeks and would have been another 2 weeks to start b/c they have to run background checks. So, I wouldn't expect a quick hiring process. Overall, process felt difficult. Unnecessarily so.
