The interview process included a phone screening with TA, then a full interview with the hiring manager, followed by the opportunity to give a presentation to the hiring manager+her manager and a meet and greet with the team. AmFam uses competency based interview questions + STAR responses.
The interviews were pretty standard. I was impressed with the organization and communication from their Talent Acquisition team, they were very clear with information every step of the way. Unfortunately, despite being a finalist for the position, the rejection email I received was a standard form email. It would have been nice to receive a personal note to inform me of the decision. I would have welcomed the opportunity to receive feedback on the final interview - I even emailed asking for this and the hiring manager never replied. A bit disappointing after all of the interactions and taking the time to put together a presentation for the team.
AmFam is big on using additional method besides the interview. It is not uncommon to have some "homework" or to prepare additional material for evaluation.
