Interview
Overall a great interview experience. Interviewer asked a lot of thoughtful questions. She described the role well and made it clear what I would be doing. I really enjoyed the interview process with them.
Six interviews over two months.
Recruiter screen: standard behavioral-question call (recruiter asked questions and took notes).
Five additional interviews: mostly conversational in tone, but focusing on tough experiences.
Worth noting that interview invites to specific times were sent for the wrong time zone for 3 of the interviews. As an interviewee I made do, but it soured the experience slightly. The AI recruiting assistant does not show a time zone when selecting the available time slots. Additionally, emails regarding interviews often arrived after the recruiting assistant messages were sent and times already selected.
Overall impression: unnecessarily lengthy process with mostly informal conversations. The interview assistant product design leaves a lot of room for improvement.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at American Family Insurance (New York, NY) in Nov 2020
