The selection process began with a phone screen from the HR department in Florida. The phone screen was fairly easy because I have all of the qualifications necessary to be successful in the position. They just asked generic things like, "What's the largest event you've worked on?", "Do you have event planning/fundraising experience?"
I passed the phone screen. I was invited to do a video interview later that evening with an online software. I can't remember the name of it. The video screen was only five questions.
I passed the video screen and got invited to an in-person interview. It took about a week to get a formal invitation.I also had to do a personality assessment and gather five references. The in-person interview went well. However, I found the hiring managers to be a bit duplicitous. They were almost too nice.
My assumption was right. I was gassed as if I was a shoe-in to get the position. I emailed a thank you after the interview and was met with an overwhelmingly pleasant response. Again, I was gassed as if I was the chosen candidate. It took about two weeks to finally get a declining phone call from the region's VP.
