Brief call with recruiter, followed by an online interview. The recruiter was wonderful to speak with. The next step was the online interview which consists of a series of pre-recorded questions asked by AHA staff via video. You then have 2 minutes to record your response to the questions also via video. The format was off putting and disorienting. Each question is displayed in writing on the screen and the AHA employee is talking about their perspective and experience and then asks the interview question all while a timer is counting down, which prompts the 2 minute window for you to record your response (by video). I believe they have the staff person talk a little about themselves or the organization to make it more personal, but it's distracting while you are also reading the question and trying to ready your response before their timer expires and your timer starts. Then once the timer starts, you are basically watching yourself record an answer (which is very awkward) and have no opportunities for a re-take. While the questions were fairly straightforward, the format was impersonal and in my opinion, not the best way to evaluate how a candidate would present in person.
