I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at American Heart Association (Jacksonville, FL) in Aug 2021
Interview
I applied via LinkedIn August 20th and within 24 hours I was emailed asking to complete a one-way video interview with the link. I never did one before, so I researched and prepped like crazy (you have 4 days to complete it). The 4-5 questions were pre-recorded and you record your answer within a time limit. It’s awkward at first, but you can watch your response before submitting. If you don’t like your first take, you have one additional try. Before you begin that second try, you have all the time in the world to practice/prepare before hitting the timer. After submitting my responses I week later I was contacted to set up a 30 minute phone interview with the Executive Director and Regional VP, however he couldn’t make it. The interview was great - I felt like I really connected with the executive director, who is whom I’d report to. She explained the position and asked her questions - it felt more like a 30 minute conversation than an interview. About 48 hours later I was asked by my recruiter for a zoom interview the following week with the same two people for one hour. 2 weeks later I emailed for a status update and was then scheduled within 24 hours for another zoom interview, this time with the Senior VP of Health Strategies in Tampa Bay and Senior VP of Development in Orlando for one hour. I felt like they really reviewed my resume beforehand as they asked a few specific questions to my cover letter and former employers/projects I worked on, which I really appreciated. I really connected with them both as we all had similar career backgrounds. I was offered the position 4 days later. The entire process took 6 weeks. My recruiter was amazing and responded to every email or question I had within 24 hours and she kept me updated after each step in the process. As soon as I accepted their offer, I was provided information to get the onboard process going and my first day is two weeks later.

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at American Heart Association (Austin, TX) in Jun 2024
Interview
This interview process involved four stages:
1) An initial phone call with basic interview questions about my background, experience, and the role
2) A Teams interview with a director of the regional communications team
3) A Teams interview with the same director as #2 plus his supervisor
4) A final casual Zoom conversation with three members of the local team
Everybody involved was extremely pleasant, and each stage felt more like an interesting conversation than an interview. I felt the positive, collaborative, engaging culture immediately.
