American Specialty Health interview questions

Interviewed and never heard anything back. Sent a couple emails to the recruiter with no response. If they act this unorganized starting, this shows the whole company is disorganized and unprofessional.

I was invited to interview by HR. Had a phone screening first followed by a video panel interview. I was interrogated as they took turns reading questions from a list for almost an hour. At the end I was able to ask questions. When I asked "how soon are you looking to hire?", everyone shifted uncomfortably in their chairs. After an awkward silence, one of them rattled off about wanting to hire soon but not sure how long it'll take, etc. Everyone on the panel had been promoted from another dept. Good for internal candidates but terrible for external candidates. I suspect I was invited to interview to fill some quota. I received a rejection email within a couple of days. I don't think the position was actually open as someone internally likely was already chosen. I don't care if they promote internally, just don't waste my time for an entire hour. I could have spent that time interviewing for a position that actually needed to be filled. I was also ghosted by HR for another position (they no showed for the interview), so it seems they don't care about external candidates at all.
