      Customer Success Manager Interview

      Dec 6, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amplitude (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2016

      Interview

I had an screening call with a recruiter and also a prep call with this same individual. Then, I was passed on to speak to someone in the Customer Success department. They seem to have no experience in building a customer success team and don't truly know what they need/are looking for. The call was also an hour, which is very long for a simple hiring manager screen.

      Customer Success Manager Interview

      Apr 29, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amplitude (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2020

      Interview

Applied and received a confirmation email. A recruiter reached out via email to set up an interview over the phone. On the day of the call, I found him to be short, arrogant, and overall, rude. People are struggling a lot given everything going on and the current condition of things, a little kindness and empathy goes a long way. I did not find my interaction with him to be at all engaging. It felt almost as though it was a burden to even be interviewing me. It certainly felt like he had made a decision somewhere in the interview that he was not looking to proceed further, and it most certainly showed. My interaction alone would have been cause for concern in entertaining moving forward with Amplitude. I was not sure how best to provide direct feedback--but hopefully, someone who works with him can pass this along. Constructive criticism can go a long way to helping us improve!
