Great, thorough, and quick interview process. I felt very welcomed and immediately wanted to join the company. Details below -
I saw job on Indeed and applied through Amplitude website. Recruiter (Stephen) called the following week and spoke to me about the job and my career experience. Stephen was very nice, welcoming, and straight-forward. As he was already impressed with my resume, he didn't spend time grilling me like some interviewers. Rather, he asked open ended questions then spent the remainder of the call telling me about the great things at Amplitude. Of all the things he talked about, I remember he spoke the most about diversity and the open culture.
Several days later, the hiring manager (Alan) called me and conducted a more in depth interview. We talked about my previous roles and what would be expected in the role I was applying for. Alan was nice and straight forward and shared a bit of his experience/story as well.
One week later, I went into the Amplitude office (in South Beach area) and participated in an on site interview. The interview had many parts, and I met with my entire immediate team. First, I went out to lunch with about 5-6 employees from mixed departments. Next, I did an interview with my hiring manager Alan. Then, I did two more interviews with members of my team. One had basic technical questions related to interpreting data. Finally, I ended the day with an open format presentation on my topic of choice. I presented a Powerpoint to the entire team, and they participated and listened politely, then followed up with questions.
Soon after I left, Stephen called and said the feedback from my interview was very positive. He invited me back Monday for a final talk with the CRO (Matt) and a member of my team who had been absent. I returned, completed the interviews, then chatted with Stephen, who notified me I would be receiving an offer. Several days later, Stephen and Alan called me with the offer details, then sent a formal letter. I accepted.
