Overall, I really enjoyed meeting everyone within the company during the interview process and learning about the role's day-to-day.
The interview process was a little too long as it consisted of several interviews before getting to the final challenge which lasts 4 hours and consisted of 2 presentations and an hour of technical competency.
Unfortunately, I was informed that I would not be moving forward in the interview process. When I replied asking for additional feedback to this decision, I was simply told, "we cannot share any feedback with you." I found this irritating and somewhat direspectful of my time considering I had to take 4 hours of work off and prepare multiple presentations. I was able to extract that I was not as compitent in product management as other candidates (which is fair), but was given no further feedback.
My feedback to Amplitude is to share feedback with candidates to create a more respectful relationship. In addition, rather than screening people out of the role due to a lack of product owner knowledge (which can be learned) try to screen people in based on their skill sets that would benefit the company.
