This was BY FAR the most unprofessional interview process I’ve experienced in my career. The total lack of regard for my time as a candidate was appalling. First, I interviewed with the hiring manager and then did a take home assignment. The recruiter told me I got stellar feedback on both. They then scheduled me for a panel interview and requested I put together a lengthy presentation for a few days after the panel. I do the panel and meet with 3 people. Again, the recruiter tells me I did great. Several days go by and I spend 10 hours preparing the presentation. Just a couple hours before the presentation is supposed to happen, I get called telling me they cancelled the interview process with ZERO explanation. They shouldn’t have asked me put together the presentation if it was conditional on the panel going well. They wasted so much of my time. Completely unprofessional. No one apologized and both the manager and recruiter ghosted me.
