Applied online for a role in Vancouver HQ.
Recruiter responded fast (better than most)
Positives:
- was given a timeline for whole process (which was often delayed by a week)
Negatives:
- found in third and final interview that I am missing a "requirement" which was not specified in the job description
First two interviews very personable. Not sure why second interview with manager was more focussed on behavioural question. Final interview with senior manager was rushed and impersonal. It seemed this senior manager had already made their decision.
I question the decision hierarchy. The missing "requirement" could have easily been filtered with a more accurate job description and screened by the recruiter.
Advice to candidates: don't be fooled by encouraging words from recruiter. Either recruiter is simply reporting numbers and/or final decision is made by impartial and cold senior manager (who clearly makes the decisions over the actual manager of the advertised role) who made no effort for me to ask questions.
