I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ascend Wellness Holdings (New York, NY) in Jan 2022
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter. The entire process was a mess from beginning to end. The recruiters were constantly sending "homework" assignments and were late for each of the interviews. They had zero respect for my schedule, asking me for my availability and railing against it. Ultimately, I didn't get an offer which was great because I was not going to accept one. There's no training process... It's "here's the keys to the building, go get em". The company, in the highly competitive Ann Arbor market has no idea how they're going to compete. No idea how to train and retain talent. When I asked what they were doing to compete the only response was.. Our prices are lower. I can totally see this 18 store chain being gone on a year or two.. Very risky proposition to leave a safe job with a reputable company for this upstart.
It was about Four interviews. Done via teams. Very respectful of your time. Open about any questions you have. Keeps in contact often. Right to the point for interview questions.
