The interview process -- five rounds to the final round -- was fine. The recruiter was nice but a bit disorganized and didn't necessarily keep me posted on what was going on unless I asked. Honestly, my biggest issue is that I made it to the end of a seven-week process only to be ghosted. As hard as it is to assume you didn't get the job, if you've come this far, what's so hard about sending one final email -- even a standard rejection email. In a terrible job market like this, at least something like that brings closure. It left such a bad taste in my mouth. While I know recruiters are busy, there's no reason you can't send a runner up some sort of final email. It's the respectful thing to do and doesn't tarnish the company's reputation. Then again, maybe they don't care?

I was recruited by a current employee for a director level position. The interview went extremely well. I waited almost a month for a follow up. At that time I heard the team structure had changed and they were looking for a different role, one I was very qualified for. I came back in and met with one of the company’s executives. Again, I didn’t hear anything for almost three weeks. Upon follow up, I received an offer. I countered with a few questions and received no response until I followed up. At that time I was told that they did not want to negotiate so they decided not to respond to me. I asked if the original offer was still on the table and they said they promised they would confirm. That was the last I heard from them. Not only was this extremely unprofessional but each interaction with HR included grammatical errors and misinformation. I was extremely disappointed as to how I was treated during the process.
