After giving me 2 days notice to prepare a presentation for a 2 and a half hour interview, they did not show up to the interview!
After naming and shaming colleagues, they could only reschedule for 2 weeks later.
During the interview the presentation went according to plan and my response to questions were high quality. At the end of the 2.5 hours, they spent 5 mins explaining the company benefits, and suggested that the buying of companies shares on salary sacrifice was a good one to consider. They even spent time finding my local branch; Job done? Without sounding arrogant, as interviews go, this one really seemed like it was in the bag.
Concluding the interview they explained that a detailed report would be written and sent to the hiring team with recommendations. That team would inform the recruitment team who in turn would contact me.
But after over a week passed with no comms, I chased the recruitment team.
The next day I received automated email "unfortunately...", however it was clearly not written by the recruitment team, as the wording and format was identical to their bot, when informing candidates their CV has not been shortlisted.
So I asked told the recruitment team that a detailed report was written with recommendations, and because I am always looking to improve, please can I have feedback from the interview. I was polite but did state that, calling the candidate back to provide feedback is industry standard and I shouldn't really have to chase for this.
They seemed surprised, but said they would follow this up.
NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN!
After all that, all I can say is Disgraceful!
Looks like I dodged a bullet.
I've seen the role advertised a few times again over the last couple of months. Who knows if the role even exists, because when I asked them on location they didn't know!
