Atlas (OR) interview questions

Process: I wrote a cover letter to the human resources contact, attached my resume and submitted the 3 personal references as requested. Within three weeks the human resources department contacted me to set up an in person interview. No phone screening questions were done for this job. The interview was held in a conference room in their downtown office. I was told to sit in a certain spot. I suspected later I might have been recorded without permission by the video camera pointed directly at me. I would suggest you move seats or move the camera if this makes you nervous. The questions were standard questions about what are your strengths and weaknesses plus what do you like to do in your spare time. I was allowed 20 minutes for my questions about the job and company. The human resource interviewer told me she would then present me to the other managers and see if they were interested in me for any open positions. She promised she would get back to me in a week. At the end of the week I received an email that they did not have any positions to offer me at this time. Applicants should not dress not for a software company, but in formal business dress as if applying for a law firm. I was dressed up in formal business wear but was surprised to see everyone else that way. More why in my culture notes below. Everyone is very dressed up and the offices are very beautifully decorated. This is because the company started as a management consulting firm. The company has been going deeper into their software products in the last few years but retains a formal business dress style. The company is advertising with broad descriptions to see who they can catch in their net. They are very international and looking for employees who fit with their culture. The company has had a flat reporting structure with a small number of employees. For a while the employees wore many hats, didn't have job titles or even a boss. The employees get together outside of work for bowling, local music or other sports activities on a casual basis. The company is growing so the structure is changing to have managers and specialized jobs. The company has been privately owned in Oregon since 1987. The products help schools organize the curriculum into a portal that helps the school staff share information and analyze results.
