You have a deck of 21 cards, and you play this following game with a single opponent: each player take turns to pick up 1, 2, or 3 cards at a time, and whoever picks up the final card wins. You get to have the 1st turn in this game. What is the your strategy to guarantee a win?

Asked for general questions (Self-intro, why applied for this company and this role), and lots of Olympic Maths questions. Will assist untill you formulate the right answer. I finally got the right answers but I suppose I took longer than other candidates so I am not selected to the second-round interview.

First round interview: first part, candidate background& company culture discussion. Second part, two math puzzles with one programming related question. Total time is around 50 minutes. Hope this is useful.
