I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at AutoNation (Phoenix, AZ) in Sep 2019
Interview
Expect to wait for a little bit after arriving for interview.
Met with 3 different managers for each interview I had at 2 different automation dealerships. Explained my solid experience with providing 5 star customer service (I worked at a 5 star establishment in past). I had NO relevant retail experience so I really sold myself by talking more about customer service and how I resolved issues and approached situations while remaining composed at that other job. They seemed to value this customer service attribute WAY more than having experience. I laughed a lot and was very friendly. I interviewed at 2 Autonation dealerships and when doing this I was offered job on the spot at both locations.
In person, basic questions, nothing unusual. Two managers interview you and then they talk to the GM before ultimately making a decision. If you call and check on the status of your app you're likely to receive an offer.
I applied through other source. The process took 12 months. I interviewed at AutoNation (Las Vegas, NV) in Nov 2025
Interview
Poor, if you even get an interview. Then, they hide behind their corporate website and say that you were not selected. They need to choose between local vs nation wide hiring process.

Interview
I was contacted by Isaias for an in person interview at the South Austin location. I arrived and spoke with him for about 20 minutes discussing the role and my experience. I then spoke with a young lady who was internet sales manager who seemed almost hostile. I was the third interviewer was eating lunch and couldn’t be bothered. Didn’t hear back and followed up. No response. Basically ghosted.
