So I got short listed for a writing assessment following a screening call with the HR. The writing assessment was pretty extensive, involving the analysis of a fictional clinical trial. The task had two components- a written report and a slide deck which were supposed to have inferences from clinical data from a "client"
slide deck. It was mentioned that the task should take us around 9 hours in total. As an added cherry on top, some of the information in the slide was "imperfect" reflecting real world scenarios. I completed this, effectively working more than a whole regular working day unpaid for this company. I was told that I'll be hearing back in a week, but it may take longer because of backlogs on their part.
Sounds cool right? One week passed, two weeks passed and I let it slide. Week 3, I sent an email, ghosted. Week 4 I sent another email, ghosted. The end. I understand delays, but keeping an applicant in the dark for a whole month after demanding a day's work just for the opportunity to be considered for an interview is unreasonable.

The interview process at FH was relatively easy for an MW position. The panel had asked questions about prior experience in publishing abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.
I interviewed at Fishawack Health (FH) in 2022. This company was later rebranded to Avalere Health. The interview process with FH was quick and easy. The panel consisted of two senior executives. The HR back then was one of the sweetest person I worked with.
I applied via linkedin and received a generic response to acknowledge my application. Now over a month later, despite even reaching out to the talent team, I haven't received any further communication. I understand that I may not be the best candidate, but it would be good to at least get a generic rejection instead of being ghosted.
