I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Aveda (New York, NY) in Nov 2011
Interview
Very quick, asked about 10 questions about my experience and background. We talked about the brand, and then she told me about Aveda. We discussed what the job entailed. After the in-person interview i also had a phone interview with estee lauder which was about 30-minutes long. The interview was not that hard but it was very long and they asked a variety of questions that will decide if you are Aveda material.

Interview
The interview itself was very chill, they asked a few questions about my previous experience and gave me some questions to answer situational questions. They also told me more about the role itself and we discussed it further. Before this I had to undergo an online recorded interview too.

Interview store and regional managers. Perform some basic salon activities on a scalp and then go over some product knowledge too which is really annoying because they take forever. They are looking for people to join lower in the store and promote within.
Interviewed with store manager and district manager. Both interviews went well as we went over my prior positions and responsibilities, but had to wait for a call back for a while and ending up taking another position.
