I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Bain & Company in Sep 2021
Interview
It consisted of situational based questions and guesstimate questions. i had to appear in 4 rounds where in I was pressurised with questions involving ethics and non ethics. guesstimate was of moderate level and i had to solve it properly with an approach

The recruiter strung me along for MONTHS! This was probably one of the worse interview processes I've ever been through. I went through so many rounds of interviews and finally made it to the final stage. I got in touch with the recruiter to see whether or not I would be receiving an offer. The recruiter proceeds to tell me that I received great feedback from my interviews and that everyone really valued the time that I put into the interview process, but they're going to place my candidacy on hold to allow an internal candidate to go through the interview process - AND that the internal candidate hadn't started the process yet. They said that once that internal candidate finishes all of the interview rounds then they'd circle back with me in a couple of weeks to let me know who was getting the offer.
I would have more tolerance for this if the internal candidate was already interviewing for this position like I was, but the fact that the recruiter is directly communicating with me that the internal candidate hadn't even started the interview process is what made me upset. I know that most companies prioritize internal candidates over external ones, but this was just ridiculous and a complete waste of my time. I continuously received positive feedback after my interviews and I interviewed with this company for a long time only to be told that my candidacy was being pushed to the side to make way for another person who hadn't even started interviewing yet.
And after all that, the recruiter ghosted me; there was no rejection letter - nothing - never heard from them again!
Extremely disappointed in how this recruiter and the knowledge management department chose to handle my interview process.
