The recruiter connect me via Linkedin and discussed over the phone on the position. Though the position title is Director of Data Science , the JD is to lead 3 data scientist, and it's a Data Scientist Lead position. The recruiter asked me to fill the application in the portal, after that the recruiter din't respond for 1.5 weeks. I called the recruiter after it, got a responds will schedule the interview in a weeks time. I got a link to schedule my interview, where there is only 2 slots are available. Nevertheless it was scheduled for 30 minutes, however the interview was lasts only for 10 minutes. The person who comes for the interview seems very hurried, seems someone asked just to attend as part of the interviewer as they have asked the candidate. I got an email after 2 days, my candidature is not selected and they have proceed with other recruits. When I asked for specific reason, got no response. No idea / clue, what they are looking for, any specific skill set or any Data Science / Machine Learning Domain. The interviewer seems to be leading the digital of Bain & Co, but seems no interest in candidate and it's skillset. It's a hard truth, but seems company or brand name doesn't matter, always to ask the recruiter what they are looking for in a candidate, what the interview round looks like be , and what's the expectation. Without this, shouldn't go for the interview, as it seems a complete waste of time and energy.
