I had a phone screen with a recruiter to review my work history and a little bit about the position. After the phone screen, I had a video interview with a member of HR.

There were several types of interviews. The interviews were over many stages. Telephone and several face to face interviews. The face TK face interviews were in the office and lasted one hour each.

Chatted with recruiter. Was asked an illegal question (if I had any children). Was taken aback, thought I may have misheard the question, so I asked, "what?" and she repeated the question. Wasn't sure what to do, so I answered the question, trying to give the recruiter some grace since we are in the middle of the pandemic. Then, recruiter asked me about standard questions about my background/ experience related to the role. Asked me what a "hippo" program was--my team runs High Potential programs, so I have the word "HiPo" on my resume, she clearly didn't know what HiPo was, since she asked me about hippo. Was told my resume would be passed onto hiring manager. Received email from recruiter a couple of days later, saying that the hiring manager liked my resume, wants to schedule an interview. Was waiting to schedule interview and suddenly received an email today that said, "we had a very quick turn of events and have extended an offer and it has been accepted." To me, this isn't the way to treat a candidate--a phone call would have been appreciated to just give me a chance to ask questions and understand what happened, since I was under the impression that I was moving forward in the process. Doesn't leave a good impression in my mind about this company.
