      Assistant Property Manager Interview

      Sep 14, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Raleigh, NC
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Berkshire (Raleigh, NC) in May 2014

      Interview

I interviewed with the Regional manager who was looking for an APM for a lease up. Overall, I thought the phone interview went well. She asked me about my experiences, what I did in my current role and asked questions about the market. She then told me about the company culture. She seemed nice and pleasant. After the interview, she requested that I complete the assessment that she sent me via email. After completing the assessment, I heard nothing from her. I emailed her 2 weeks later to follow up and she stated that they chose to go in another direction. It is kind of ironic that the person they chose was friends with a girl who knew the property manger.

      Interview

I was contacted via email by the Property Manager and asked to come in for an interview. I met her at the property and we ended up talking for well over an hour! She asked me standard interview questions and then she had me take an assessment. The assessment had a variety of situations that a property manager might come across on any given day. After the interview, she sent my application and completed assessment to her corporate office and said she would contact me as soon as she heard something back. I was offered the position two days later.
