BetterUp Account Executive interview questions

What a joke! I “interviewed” with the hiring manager over a month after talking with the recruiter, who contacted me. It was a one sided interrogation, not an interview. I was asked to do a mock discovery call over video with instructions not to get into too much detail about the company/products. Of course, the VP expected me to know every single detail after going directly into the mock call. At no point was I given any opportunity to ask questions. He only critiqued my lack of knowledge about this small, mostly unknown, start up. This is typical of the inflated egos of SF start ups that think they’re the next Google. As someone with many other options, I’ll pass. How you treat a candidate is a microcosm of how you treat your employees.

I had a phone screen with them. The interviewer was somewhat terse and asked the questions in a blunt, non-conversational way She seemed to be reading off her list, and offered little to no response to the different answers I provided. There were many typical phone screen questions. I was really interested in the company because they seem genuinely interested in personal growth and having positive human experiences. The person I spoke didn't match my idea of the company in that the way we interacted felt very off-paper and somewhat inauthentic. The general feeling I got from the interviewer was that she was unimpressed by me and was not interested from the beginning of the conversation. I thought the experience would be more genuine based on the kind of work BetterUp does.
