One of the strangest screening calls I’ve had. Despite the invitation explicitly stating it would dive deeper into my experience, there were no questions about my background or skills—just a quick overview of the role and a goodbye. With the same job being reposted multiple times and hundreds of applicants for a sole Beyond team member in Australia, it feels less like a genuine hiring process and more like fishing around. Whether it’s a phantom role or not, this approach is unprofessional and shows little respect for candidates’ time. This very same behaviour has also been noted by other reviewers below.

Definitely one of the more unusual recruiter screens I’ve had. The recruiter handling this position gave a brief overview of the company and role, then asked if I had any questions, which I did. We chatted about those for about 10–15 minutes, and... that was it. No questions about my experience, skills, background, or current role. None. Not even the classic “walk me through your resume.” Just a polite wrap-up and goodbye. It left me wondering, how exactly are they assessing candidates? Gut instinct? Horoscope compatibility? Some internal vibe check metric I’m not aware of? I’m all for a conversational interview, but skipping the part where you actually assess experience and skill-fit is a choice. If you're looking for a process that makes you feel thoroughly assessed, this probably isn't it.
