I was contacted by a recruiter to set up a phone screen directly with the hiring manager. I did not even have a phone screen with the recruiter, which I found unusual.
After speaking with the hiring manager, I was told they would be finishing up phone screens within the next week and then deciding which candidates to bring onsite for the next round.
I was unable to get in touch with the recruiter or hiring manager after this point with repeated attempts. I found this to be extremely unprofessional. It takes less than 60 seconds to respond to an email and let a candidate know you won’t be moving forward with them.
