I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomingdale's (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2010
Interview
I was first contacted by the HR manager after submitting an application online. For a retail position, I felt the interview was taken very seriously and the manager asked me very exact questions. This same day, I was interviewed by the manager of the department I was most interested in. This interview went well and the HR manager sent me home. She contacted me in about two weeks. I was called back to interview with a store manager. This was a very serious interview as well and I thought the store manager was pretty hard to read. After this interview, I was called back to the HR manager's office and an offer of employment was extended. I accepted and started later that week.
