I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Bloomingdale's in Aug 2013
Interview
Applied through an employee referral, was contacted by a recruiter within a few days. I interviewed with the store's general manager, however the GM's expectations for the position were vastly different compared to the hiring manager. The one on one interview did not last very long as the hiring manager knew from the beginning that she was not interested. Also important to note that their version of an "HR Manager" is not typical.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomingdale's (New York, NY) in Jul 2018
Interview
Fantastic interview process. The recruiter kept me informed of every step of the process and was accessible whenever I had questions. I met a lot of people, more than any other company but also felt there was value in each interview. Would like further clarification on the direction of the company but overall a great experience.

The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Bloomingdale's (Wayne, NJ)
Interview
I spoke to a Corporate recruiter regarding an HR Manager opening. The process literally took months--she kept telling me that I was going to interview with the District HR Director, but it never happened. I took the required tests and then nothing happened. I kept emailing her, asking when the interview would take place, and she kept saying things like, "by the end of this week." But, nothing would happen. I kept emailing her over a period of weeks and there was always another excuse or delay. I finally gave up and after I stopped emailing her, she never emailed me; she never sent me a rejection email either. I was very disappointed in how the interview process was conducted. I expected more from Bloomingdale's since their customer service for consumers is so great. They need to do the same for the interview process as well.
