I was recruited while shopping in the store by a shoe salesman. He personally took my up to HR and I was given an application. Several days later I had an interview and was waiting in HR for about a half hour before the saw me. There was a two interview process, their head of HR first which lasted about a half hour, then with a floor manager. My personal department manager was not the second interviewer. They gave me a cold call test after we spoke for a few minutes. I needed to call her extension in the next room and tell her about a new product to bring in a return customer. This part of the interview was much easier than the actual job. I wrote a thank you note so that they could see my penmanship.
