Applied online, got an email the next day to schedule my interview which was a group interview. The group interview consisted of me, 1 other candidate and the HR manager. It was brief and straightforward, "why Bloomingdales...", "Tell me about yourself..." Etc. After first interview we was told we will be contacted in a week via email regarding the next steps. I got an email the next day from the manager of the department I applied to to set up a second interview. The second interview I was interviewed by the department manager while the executive manager watched over the interview. The questions was more customer service/past experience "Tell me a time when..." questions. Nothing to difficult, you don't have to give specifics incidents to all the questions just general everyday situations at your past work place. After the questions they discussed my availability, and what the position is. When the interview was over they asked me to wait while they go discuss with the HR Manager and they came back and offered me the job. Process took a week.

It takes s long time, or at least it used to. I went through 6 different interviews before I got hired. They want people who can sell and have a certain knowledge on their field, for example, fashion, fine jewelry, housewares, furniture, etc. These days they seem to have relaxed the standards, and that is something that reflects on the company. Years ago, they really made you go though loops to even get a second interview.
