Worst interview of my career.
First let me start by saying I had to confirm our interview . I also was told a female recruiter was going to facilitate the interview; However when I confirmed our time I was told he was doing the interview himself. I got a strange vibe from the start .
Also, no phone number was given, so I had no idea what to be looking for, as I had several resumes in the area sent out. Interviewer obviously had his headset on , as I heard so much background noise I could barely hear him . I was asked very odd questions, seemed disinterested in what I was saying . Gave me a pop quiz , again I could barely hear him , and then told me I forgot to mention changing to a Doppler as a response to his blood pressure question. Well OF COURSE I would change my pressure cuff to something else if pressure dropped in surgery . It appeared as though he was trying to get me to make a mistake, rather than get to know me.
Then he went on to tell
me how he wanted me to come and visit all locations, and spend the day /several hours in hospitals. He took 2 weeks to get back to me, and then said he was sorry but he was not offering me the position.
I have had multiple interviews since, and all had a normal cadence.
I must add I have over 25 years in this industry, and NEVER has anyone been so blatantly rude /off putting during an interview.
I am
not upset that I did not get the job. I have an excellent position , with great opportunities. However this person should not be in a recruiting position. Bond appears to be a company with a bright future in veterinary medicine, and should look carefully into how interviews are conducted .
