Three step interview process Will not including the one with the recruiter so by the way was awesome kudos to Zach top tier The first interview went awesome it was very laid back felt more like a conversation than an interview we talked about my skills and he told my a lot about the role and culture Second interview with the direct manager went well it was a little more brief but she was very very kind she asked me a few behavioral based questions I had to wait a week between this interview and the last It was the third Interview that stomped me. Thought I did great we talked. Maybe I was over excited for the role. He advised me that they were a startup company and that I needed to understand that bigger companies might be in business a long time however with startup it’s not promised. I understood and actually didn’t mind that as no matter how big a company is longevity in the role isn’t promised as you have to be extremely adaptable not only in the insurance industry but the work industry in general with covid. I was total stoked about the culture looking for the positive intent. Maybe I seemed as if I needed too much stability I’m not sure. However he asked me a few questions about how I handled situations with an angry customer. How my investigation process goes in claims. Pretty standard stuff. He gave me an example of shark tank to the company funding and advised me the systems may be a bit antiquated compared to bigger fish. However I still expressed how I’m hopeful to hear from them. (By the way I also turned down a job offer while waiting for them as I was for sure I was a great fit for the company and Vice versa. I know right foolish of me) I mean I feel I’m flexible, experienced, adaptable, great communication and soft skills. Needless to say this is the V1 for me so I’ll just try again at another time maybe I’ll be a better fit. He was hard to read, however again I think I was over excited about this role and the culture and becoming a brancher that I came off as an unattractive candidate. I did pick up the phone and call Zach to see if I could get some feedback in order to see what I could improve on for my next try. However until then I’ll celebrate my wins of making it as far as I did. I was thinking of sending in for reconsideration however it’s rare that those are reviewed. I think anyone who is adaptable, not afraid to grow with a company, who will ask why. Understand this is a startup and give it your all. Will do wonderful. Thank you Branch for a great interview. I look forward to trying again in the near future
